ACAA 2009 Prom!
I wanted to give a quick shout out to the students at the Arizona Conservatory for Arts and Academics (ACAA)! I got to do the formal photos at their prom last night. Their prom was at the Hard Rock Cafe. Seriously, how cool is that? My prom was never that cool.
As I watched these students enjoy their prom, I was reminded of my own youthful experiences. It definitely brought me back to about, uh, 13-15 years ago. Man! It's been a long time!! But in some ways, it felt like only yesterday when I was at my own prom. I just don't remember ever having such awesome shoes like these girls had. Seriously, these ladies had the absolute coolest shoes I've seen in a long time! I was jealous. I still am. I want shoes like that in my closet!
All the students (guys and girls) were looking super good! It was more like a fashion show and every one of them deserved an award for their outfits. This school knows how to dress!
Anyway, here are a few random shots I took in between the formal photos.
I was really digging the black and white vibe on these photos, but I had to throw a color one in, just so you could see the cool lights that were filling the room.
Thanks ACAA!

Folded Steel Bullies
Last weekend, Craig and I took Lucy to the dog park like we always do. This visit was especially fun because there were a ton of cute puppies running around. Puppies are enough reason to get excited, but these little ones also happened to be one of my favorite breeds... the American PitBull. I think these dogs are one of the sweetest breeds I've encountered and it saddens me that they have such an undeserved reputation. I was in PitBull heaven when we saw all these puppies running around the park!
We later learned that these pups were all from the same litter, and the owners meet up every week to let them play together. The mom and dad of these little ones were there too. It was really cool to see the entire dog family interact and play together.
Craig and I met the man who breeds these dogs. His dedication towards these animals was obvious. You could tell he cared about each of them, and put time into raising these dogs. Each puppy (also mom and dad) were so well behaved and absolutely beautiful. If you'd like to find out more about his work, please visit him at www.foldedsteelbullies.com.
Here's one of the cuties at the park. How can you not love this dog?!!!
