About 6 months ago, an old friend from back home (Westfield, Massachusetts) found me on Facebook. I think Sarah and I became friends in Mr. Wheeler's class in the 5th grade. Sarah and I used to hang out, have sleep overs... we even had one of those best friend necklaces that splits in two halves.
Years passed, we both moved away and lost touch with one another. Well, thanks to Facebook, we've reconnected. And how excited was I to find out she is also a photographer and living in the same area as me!
Sarah asked me if I'd like to join her on this wedding shoot, and I happily said yes. Her images are awesome... if you have time, check out her work on her website. We'll be doing another wedding together in November, and I'm looking forward to working with her again.
Now on to the beautiful, young, and newly married couple... Malisa and Alex!
These two are so cute together and just the nicest people ever. They got married at the LDS Temple in Mesa, AZ. What a gorgeous location!!
We had an early start. 5:15 a.m. to be exact. Talk about two amazingly good sports!! The Arizona light is so challenging this time of year. And these two were willing to show up bright and early to take advantage of the softer light.
I think the photo below is one of my favorites. Maybe because those two pillars are just begging to invite two people in love to stand in between them. I like how they balance and ground the photo.
After their ceremony, Malisa and Alex exited the temple with all their friends and family waiting outside to cheer them on. They couldn't stop smiling!
We made our way over to a shady area for some family photos. I had a chance to snap some candids of them hanging out with their friends in between shots.
Later that evening, festivities were held at their church. Family and friends gathered around for food, dancing, and cake.
Malisa's first dance with her husband below. And the father daughter dance on the right.
These are Malisa's best friends. They were so much fun! A cool group of girls, and this photo captures how crazy they are.
Congratulations Malisa and Alex. I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!!
