The Nifty Fifty

When I bought my camera, I also purchased the 50 mm 1.8 lens, aka "nifty fifty". I chose the 1.8 instead of the 1.4 because it was cheaper, and I figured it was better to figure out which focal length I enjoyed before spending more money on a prime lens. Even though it's not an expensive lens, it is still known for the amazing pictures it can take. This weekend was my first go at it. I still need to work on my DOF - but it's so cool to work with equipment that lets you have more creativity than a regular point and shoot camera. I feel so lucky I have these new toys to create with!!

Below are pictures of White Kid, Lucy Lu, and a few shots in Craig's studio.
